Final Check List |
Must Reads!!! |
1) Make sure you check Canvas and read all the handouts/directions and rubrics for the project
2) Check that you have ALL the following information/sections in your binder: Abstract, Background, Question, Hypothesis, Variables, Experimental Design, Materials List, Methods (Procedures-25 steps minimum), Data Logs, Data Tables, Graphs (don't forget to title and label the x and y axis), Results, Conclusion, Appendix (In binder include ALL articles with notes, acknowledgements, photos in the appendix) *3) Watch the two videos on Canvas for the presentation *4)Read the "Presentation Preparation" Handout (on the right)--> 5) Make sure your presentation PowerPoint is complete and submit on Canvas (should be mostly bullet points so you can shine by explaining) *****ADD ON TO THE PRESENTATION, add this slide titled: "Presentation Keys" which should come just before Acknowledgements. The purpose of this slide is to highlight particular highs and lows, obstacles and discovered solutions throughout this process. It is really important that you are candid about your hard times and how you got around them. You need to paint that picture (and even include pics). This slide is key to showing that you learned and grew from this process. 6) Make sure your Virtual board (PowerPoint) is complete and print out 6 copies (you may choose either the 3 or 4 column version, you DO NOT have to do both) 7) If you are doing the Expo, make sure to complete the display board |
If you are stuck on the abstract, read page 26 and 27 from the PDF below ("District and Science Fair Booklet). Consent forms can also be found in this PDF starting on page 38.
